Laura Tyler Perryman founded Stimwave Technologies, a wireless neurostimulation pain management device company that raised $170M. She was named Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2018. She was charged by the DOJ in 2022 with wire fraud for allegedly misrepresenting the safety and efficacy of the implanted device to investors and making false statements to healthcare providers. The FDA issued a safety alert. Perryman was indicted and awaiting trial.
